In my 30 year real estate investing career I have owned and managed dozens of properties. From single family to multi-family and small commercial, I have purchased properties conventionally and through a variety of creative methods, rehabbed and sold these properties conventionally and in a variety of creative ways using LLCs, Trusts, Corporations, and partnerships. I have financed properties conventionally through banks, creative financing, and private lenders. I have made loans to other investors as a private lender, spoke at real estate seminars, and wrote “The Wise Private Lender”, a book on private lending. Starting with no college education nor a vast amount of starting capital, I learned real estate investing through hands on experience with successes and failures, becoming a self-made multi- millionaire in my early 30’s.

I was born into the world of real estate. Ever since I can remember, I’ve accompanied my dad to property evaluations, property closings, tenant meetings, and helped with several rehabs, doing jobs like spackling sheetrock, painting walls, caulking siding and installing outlet covers. Outside of working alongside my dad, I was homeschooled, and spent my childhood learning and traveling. Not only did I learn traditional subjects, I had the flexibility and free time to learn a lot of life skills and subjects that will help me in life and business. I’ve had the opportunity to travel for weeks at a time, going to many states in the US, my favorites being New York, Tennessee and Texas (I love going to Broadway!). In recent years, I’ve been to Europe 3 times, visiting over a dozen countries, and those trips were some of the most incredible experiences of my life. I realize the life I’ve lived is unique, and was only possible because of the real estate investments my dad made over the years. Now that I’m older, I don’t want to get a job, work when someone else wants me to work and give up the lifestyle I have lived, so I’m following in my dad’s footsteps because I want to be able to provide for my own life and future family in the same way he has provided for me.
